Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to improve services, investigations and monitoring of parliamentary panels, according to a report by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology. The committee has recommended that AI should be adopted in various areas such as healthcare, education, agriculture and public safety.
The committee noted that AI could help in improving the efficiency of government departments and agencies by automating routine tasks. It also suggested using AI for better decision-making processes within the government. Additionally, it proposed utilizing AI for predictive analysis which would enable faster response times when dealing with emergencies or natural disasters. Furthermore, it highlighted how AI could be used to monitor activities of parliamentarians more effectively and efficiently than manual methods currently employed.
The report further stated that India is well positioned to take advantage of this technology due to its large population base and vast data resources available from both public and private sources. It added that there are numerous opportunities for leveraging these resources through machine learning algorithms which can provide insights into trends in different sectors like health care or education etc., thereby helping policy makers make informed decisions based on real time data analysis rather than relying solely on anecdotal evidence or past experiences alone.
In addition to this recommendation, the committee also suggested setting up an expert group comprising representatives from academia as well as industry experts who will work together towards developing a comprehensive strategy for implementing Artificial Intelligence across all sectors in India including those mentioned above such as healthcare, education etc.. This group will focus on identifying potential use cases where AI can be applied most effectively while taking into account existing laws related to privacy protection along with ethical considerations associated with its usage so as not compromise any individual’s rights or freedoms while still achieving desired outcomes from deploying this technology at scale throughout India’s economy .
Furthermore ,the panel emphasized upon creating awareness about Artificial Intelligence among citizens so they understand what it is capable of doing ,how it works ,and why it needs their support if we want our country reap maximum benefits out of this revolutionary technology . To achieve this goal ,it was proposed that educational institutions should include courses related to artificial intelligence right from school level onwards so students get familiarized with basics concepts early on . Also universities must create dedicated research centers focusing exclusively on advancing knowledge around artificial intelligence technologies .
Finally ,the panel concluded by saying that adoption of Artificial Intelligence requires strong political commitment coupled with adequate financial investments over long term period but if done correctly then rewards are boundless because no other technology holds same potential when comes transforming lives people living here today tomorrow .
