Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is rapidly changing the way we work and live. As AI continues to evolve, it has the potential to replace many jobs in the future. This was recently revealed by IBM CEO Arvind Krishna during a virtual event hosted by The Economic Times.
Krishna believes that AI will have an impact on all aspects of our lives, from healthcare to education and even transportation. He also noted that some jobs may be replaced by AI-driven automation in the near future. According to him, this could include roles such as customer service representatives, call center agents, data entry clerks and other similar positions that require repetitive tasks or low-level decision making.
However, he also pointed out that there are certain areas where humans will still be needed for complex tasks such as problem solving or creative thinking. He believes these skills can’t be replicated with machines yet and so they will remain important for businesses going forward.
In addition to this, Krishna highlighted how AI can help create new opportunities for people who are willing to learn new skills or adapt their existing ones in order to stay relevant in today’s job market. For example, he suggested that those working in customer service should look into learning more about analytics so they can better understand customer needs and preferences which would allow them to provide better services overall. Similarly those working with data entry should consider taking up coding courses so they can develop automated solutions instead of manually entering information into databases every day which would save time and money while improving accuracy at the same time .
Overall it seems like AI technology is here to stay whether we like it or not but its effects on our lives don’t necessarily have to be negative if we embrace change rather than fear it . By understanding what kind of jobs might get replaced due its introduction ,we can start preparing ourselves now for a successful transition into a world powered by artificial intelligence . We must remember though ,that no matter how advanced technology gets ,there will always be certain things only humans are capable of doing – something Arvind Krishna himself acknowledged when speaking about his vision for IBM’s role within this ever-evolving landscape .
