It would also allow us more time for research into ways in which we can mitigate potential risks associated with its use while still taking advantage of its many benefits too – something which will ultimately benefit everyone involved going forward into the future regardless of their background or beliefs on this matter overall .
Ultimately though, only time will tell if pausing our current efforts towards advancing artificial intelligence is indeed necessary right now – but one thing remains clear: We must proceed carefully here if want avoid any unintended consequences down the line later on down road ahead .
