Robo-Recruiters? Americans Don’t Want AI To Hire Or Fire Them

As technology advances, so does the way we do business. Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming more and more prevalent in the workplace, but it seems that Americans are not quite ready to accept AI as a replacement for human recruiters when it comes to hiring and firing employees. According to a recent survey conducted by The Harris Poll on behalf of Oracle NetSuite, only one-third of American adults believe that AI should be used for recruiting or firing decisions.

The survey revealed that most people still prefer having humans make these types of decisions rather than relying on machines. This could be due to the fact that many people feel uncomfortable with the idea of an algorithm making such important decisions about their future employment prospects. Additionally, there is also concern over potential bias in algorithms which could lead to unfair outcomes for certain groups of people based on factors like race or gender.

Despite this reluctance towards using AI for recruitment and termination purposes, respondents did express some willingness towards utilizing machine learning technologies in other areas related to HR management such as performance reviews and employee engagement surveys. In addition, they were open to using AI-powered chatbots as part of customer service initiatives within companies.

Overall, it appears that while Americans may be willing to embrace certain aspects of automation within their workplaces, they are still hesitant when it comes to allowing machines full control over critical tasks like hiring and firing personnel. As businesses continue exploring ways in which they can leverage new technologies like artificial intelligence into their operations, they will need to take into account public opinion before implementing any major changes involving automated decision-making processes related directly with employees’ livelihoods . |Robo-Recruiters?
