Dr. David Jaffe, professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, believes that AI will have a major impact on society in both positive and negative ways. He predicts that AI-driven automation could lead to job losses in certain industries but also create new opportunities for those who are willing and able to learn new skills related to this emerging technology. Dr. Jaffe also believes that AI can be used as an effective tool for decision making when it comes to complex problems such as climate change or healthcare reform due its ability process large amounts of data quickly and accurately.
